Gracias Akumal y Riviera Maya!

We made final adjustments to Sr. Calabaza’s electric system, transmission and gear box (and after trying to get the carburetor in order, and not being able to do so, with the help of VW guru Sam we applied numerous old tricks to ensure Calabaza would make it to Merida), filled up our packs and anticipated what the next day would bring; as the night came a tropical rain began to fall.

Hicimos unos últimos arreglos al sistema eléctrico, y nos aseguramos que la transmisión y caja de velocidades del Sr. Calabaza estuvieron correctamente lubricados (y después de intentar poner a punto el carburador, y no poder, aplicamos – con la ayuda del guru Sam – viejos trucos para que aguante el viaje a Mérida), empacamos las mochilas y esperamos lo que nos traerá el día de mañana, y empezo a caer una lluvia tropical.
